Each year, SVdP North Texas provides millions of dollars of financial and in-kind assistance, providing for the basic needs of our neighbors in need.
We also facilitate 3 systemic change programs to address underlying causes of poverty and help our friends change their lives permanently.
So each year we celebrate by hosting an annual event, the Spark of Hope.
We mark the impact made in the previous year, and raise funds to continue doing the Society’s good work in North Texas for the year to come.

About Our Speaker, Tim Brown
Tim Brown is one of the greatest collegiate and professional wide receivers to ever play the game, as a Pro Football Hall of Farner, 9x Pro Bowler, Heisman Trophy Winner and part of the NFL 1990’s All-Decade Team.
Mr. Brown currently works as a host on Sirius Radio’s NFL and College Football pregame and recaps. He now resides in Dallas, TX with his wife and four children, and is heavily involved in the “9-1-1 for Kids” program which teaches children emergency preparedness.
About Our Chairs, Chrissie and Bill Keffler
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of North Texas is honored to have Chrissie and Bill Keffler serve as this year’s chairs for our Spark of Hope Breakfast. Chrissie is on the Board of Directors for Alliance for Life and has held various roles of leadership in the St. Paul Women’s Guild, St. Paul School, and engaged in other volunteer efforts at St. Paul Parish.
Bill is the former City Manager for the City of Richardson and is the Chief Operating Officer for the Diocese of Dallas, which encompasses more than 100 parishes, schools and related entities. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his significant contributions to the city of Richardson and the Church.
