Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Spark of Hope! On June 8th, we held our annual Spark of Hope breakfast event at the Park City Club. It was a wonderful morning of Vincentian reflection with our speaker Bishop John Quinn, and an opportunity to share more about our systemic change programs. Check out our program here.
Bishop John Quinn, previous National Episcopal Advisor for the National St. Vincent de Paul Society and Bishop of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester, was our incredible speaker. It was a joy to hear him share his story, particularly about his childhood and background in Vincentian ministry. Read more in his bio here.
Special thank you to our co-chairs, Carol and Tony Ruggeri, for lending their good name to this morning event. Tony has been a member of the Society for more than 20 years, and in 2008 Carol and Tony were part of the team that initiated StudyTime, the oldest council-based program in North Texas. Thank you!
We also had the honor of celebrating and thanking four individuals who have given so generously of themselves and their resources supporting our systemic change programs. All of these individuals received our Spark of Hope award, focused on our four programs: Pharmacy (Spark of Health), StudyTime (Spark of Knowledge), St. Vincent Center (Spark of Giving), and Mini Loan Program (Spark of Assistance).
