St. Joseph Conference in Richardson
In the last few months, St. Joseph Conference members have participated in the SVdP Giving Weekend in Richardson, and welcomed new parishioners at the New Parishioners Quarterly Breakfast. On Ozanam Sunday (last Sunday of April), Conference members attend mass together and gather for a celebration. This is the third year that the Conference celebrates Ozanam Sunday together.
The St. Rita Conference held an annual Christmas event, in which they provided toys, pointsettas, and more to families in need. This past year, they served more than 90 families and 230+ kids. They have a traditional “store” mode, where they set up a room in the parish building with toys and then parents come in and choose for their children. They involve the whole St. Rita community, including the school students and others volunteers. They also regularly receive assistance – cash and helping hands – from the St. Rita Knights of Columbus and the St. Rita Dad’s Club.

Vincentians in the All Saints Conference join with Vision Food volunteers to distribute food to over 50 families each month. They also deliver food to those that cannot get to the church to pick up the food. Each family receives 100+ pounds of meat, bread, fresh vegetables, pasta, and canned goods along with nutritional information. Vincentians pick up over 1 ton of food from the North Texas Food Bank and other sources for the monthly distribution.
The members of the Mary Immaculate Conference completed our Christmas Bells program in December. We are happy and humbled to have provided new coats, shoes, pants, sweaters, shirts, pajamas and underwear to 118 children, and food and fruit baskets to 34 neighbor families.
Mary Immaculate Conference also recently commissioned a new member, Lisa Bower, to our conference. Welcome, Lisa, to SVdP!
